Well sounds like it was an interesting week. A lot more exciting than my week. Although my week was pretty good. Yesterday was an interesting day. We visited an inactive woman, Alejandra Perez, who hasn't gone to church in three years, and she has been going through some hard times (This is the first lesson we have had with her). When we first got there she was pretty depressed, with lots of stress and was telling us that if it weren't for her kids she would have already committed suicide. We talked about how faith and hope were the answers to her problems, and we shared the scripture "faith without works is dead". But she said that she didn't want to do any kind of works and had basically given up on being happy. So we decided to read Ether 12 with her which talks a ton about faith. And we talked about how faith could help her and how she needed more hope in her life... at the end of all our talking she decided that she would give faith a try. It made me way happy to see the change in her, and see how much more calm she was afterward. The scriptures are pretty dang powerful and I'm so glad we don't only have the Bible.
Oh and on Friday an Elder got back from his mission and that same day we were eating with the family. He was serving in the Salt Lake South Mission so he can speak English. It was way cool to be able to talk to someone who had just recently been in the land of the free. He wants to go and do visits with us so we are going to start using him this week. Also Friday night we had a Talent Show, which went really well. We didn't have very many investigators there but we had a lot of less actives. It was a really good befriending activity.
Other than that not a whole lot more. I have been talking a lot with some members and people who are work with computers, and it sounds really interesting to me, so I am not sure if I want to study that or something else. Ahh so many options!! Time will tell I guess.
Oh and I will do the video call around 7 PM. Good with you guys?
I love you guys soo much!!!!
Love,
Elder Nathan Lee
